Eastern European Slovakia is a country of unparalleled beauty in the region and definitely a great place for your next city break. Today’s snapshot features the lovely Saint John the Baptist Cathedral located in the Slovakian city of Trnava. Built in the 1600’s, this cathedral is home to some beautiful works of art and stands as a fantastic example of Baroque architecture that is the first example of its kind in the area.

Trnava is a gorgeous city that has been known as “Little Rome” for the number of churches and cathedrals that are located in vicinity. Not too far from Bratislava, Trnava is worth a visit on your next trip to eastern Europe!
