Winter weather has crippled the UK leaving travellers stranded at airports and train stations, leaving many of us to daydream about warmer climates and sunshine. What better way to mentally escape dreadful weather than to have a look at these gorgeous photos from our next Top Ten Island Escape, Boracay, Philippines?

If crystal clear waters and sparkling white sands are more your scene than tonnes of snow, than Boracay is the place for you! Known by some as the best beach in the whole world, Boracay used to be a virtual secret that was known only to locals and travel insiders. Well, the secret is out and now tourists flock to this paradise for some of the most beautiful views and fantastic beach hangouts in the area, or even the world!

One of the islands of the Philippines, Boracay boasts a fantastic climate nearly year-round, apart from tropical storm season in the late winter and early spring. Glorious sunsets are the norm and visitors of all ages will delight in this idyllic island paradise.
