The air is getting crisper, the days a bit shorter and we’re pulling our musty jumpers from the backs of our wardrobes. It’s official – autumn is here! My favourite time of the year, autumn is a great time to witness some natural splendour as leaves change colours and fall from the trees to crunch underfoot on the pavements. Taking inspiration from Smarter Travel’s “World’s Best Fall Foliage” list, here are some photos of the best autumn foliage found in the United States. The best foliage I’ve ever seen was during my few years living on the east coast of the United States. Virgina, Maryland and Washington D.C. trees light up as though they’re on fire during autumn months and I understand that further north in New England, the sight is even more breathtaking.
