Travelfusion's Social Media Officer, I manage all of our online marketing and presence on Twitter, Facebook, our blog and more. I love my job!

Though the weather has been loads better in London lately, I still can’t help but daydream about what it might be like to be lazing on a gorgeous tropical beach with a fruity drink in hand.

Enter Ko Lanta, Thailand, the closest thing I’ve seen (in pictures) to those tropical beaches of my dreams. The slogan for this magical place is “the province of coal mines, fossil shell beach, towering mountains, beautiful streams, an abundance of islands, palm plantations, sandy beaches, wonderful sea world, Emerald of Andaman, and heavenly Phi Phi Islands.”  It’s easy to see why such a medley of beautiful words are used to describe a place such as this.

With plenty of underwater species to discover whilst diving or snorkelling, and wide, sandy beaches perfect for days of doing nothing and relaxation, Ko Lanta is high on my list of “dream destinations” and is definitely somewhere I’d like to visit one day soon.  The blazing colours of the sunsets are enough to make me want to book a flight to Thailand asap!  Heading from London to Bangkok and transferring from there via bus is probably the easiest way to go. With flights to Bangkok this summer starting at £492 return, I’ll start putting money aside to make my dream come true!

Enjoy these amazing pictures of my dream destination, and maybe it will make it on to your list of daydream places too!

Just by looking at those pictures I think Ko Lanta is much better than Phuket. sadly, I have never heard of this place before but the pictures certainly got me curious.

    Thanks Ricca and Neitsabes!

It definitely seems like a place worth visiting. Perhaps I need to do a tour of Thai beaches and report back :)
