Travelfusion's Social Media Officer, I manage all of our online marketing and presence on Twitter, Facebook, our blog and more. I love my job!
This Monday we’ll be doing things a bit differently and instead of focusing on one specific travel destination, we’ll feature a brief description of each of the cities that we featured last week in our daily tweets of the cheapest flights and best fares.
If you’re not following us already, be sure to check out our city-specific Twitter accounts, the best way to get the cheapest daily fares from a handful of major European cities. @FlyFromLondon, @FlyFromParis, @FlyFromFRA, @FlyFromMadrid and @FlyFromMilan will all be your go-to place for these daily deals. The destinations featured today were all tweeted last week – check back for more throughout the week to get the best prices for your next city break in March!
Fly From London Stansted to Venice – £20

Explore this gorgeous city of canals and take your next city break in Venice! Stroll through the narrow streets or take in this historical city by canal in a gondola. Or, do as I would do and sample the delicious gelato and trattorias that Venice has to offer. Either way, there’s a little something for everyone. Take this opportunity to visit Venice in March before high-tourist season begins.
Fly from London Luton to Barcelona – £15

If the beach and sunshine are more your scene, head south to Barcelona for a break. With the unique and renowned architecture by Gaudi, including his Park Guell, there’s no shortage of places to explore and visit that are unlike any other. My favourite thing to do is plan for a lazy day on a restaurant terrace, sipping sangria and sampling the tapas selections. In any case, Barcelona is the perfect place for a relaxing weekend.
Fly from London Gatwick to Alicante – £30

Another great beach-side destination is Alicante. This coastal area has been inhabited for over 7000 years and as a result, there are plenty of historical sites to visit and enjoy. With a Mediterranean climate and year-long sunshine (even in the wintertime!), Alicante is the perfect place to escape your Britain wintertime blues.
Fly from London Stansted to Faro – £23

If breathtaking sunsets are what you are seeking, look no further than Faro. Though smaller than the other featured cities, Faro offers a great opportunity to disconnect from your day-to-day life and has become a popular destination for UK sun-seekers. Choose to stay in Faro and truly relax, or use this costal town as a home-base for further exploration into Portugal.
Fly from London Stansted to Malaga – £30

The fifth and final city on our list, Malaga, fits in quite nicely with the clear theme of water-side getaways. Less than three hours from London, you’ll feel like you’re a world away when visiting this city’s rich archeological monuments from a variety of ancient eras. Picasso’s birthplace, Malaga is a great place for appreciating Spanish history but can also be a great place to enjoy the north coast of the Mediterranean and the sunshine.
With flights this cheap, and such beautiful destinations, why not plan your next city break today?
