New Hotel API – fast, dynamic and supports booking

We are excited to announce the release of our new Hotel API – it is fast, it is intelligent and has full booking support. All packaged in one API and currently available for our customers – business and leisure.
The feed includes content from both hotel chains and consolidators – great for global coverage as well as price comparison. We’ve used everything we know about travel content aggregation to ensure we reflect the special features of each supplier.
Reducing a long list of results that are impossible to navigate to a more manageable list of the exactly right options for the user. Our solution considers multiple features (location, price, etc) and assesses their value based on specific user request.
It’s also lighter and therefore faster than ever before. We are now able to reduce a long list of results that are impossible to navigate, to a more manageable list of the exactly right options for the user. We factor in multiple features like location, price etc, and we assess their value based on request from the user. We only return the most relevant result for you – a powerful feature for websites but specifically when you develop for mobile devices.
Combine this with full location support – geo-coordinates data for every hotel and the ability to search by that – and you have the perfect solution for tablets and mobile phones.
We also threw in full hotel details and pictures which can be retrieved dynamically – and of course full booking support, including our prepay solution.
You can read the full description on our b2b site – do not hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions.

Food, Fun and Romance in Northern Greece

As our English summer weather seems to be turning decidedly…English…I find myself daydreaming of beach holidays. I yearn for the warmth of the sun in a cloudless sky and the feeling of wiggling my toes in the sand instead of feeling them pinched in my work shoes.

I’m currently planning my honeymoon for this autumn and love nothing more these days than looking for new ideas of resorts that will offer everything I’m looking for in a perfect romantic holiday – sun, sand, great food, stunning views and luxury! Imagine my delight when I discovered Northern Greece’s picture perfect Sani Resort.

Surrounded by nearly 1,000 acres of sand, sea and forest, the Sani Resort provides all the elements necessary for a romantic getaway. From the award-winning food highlighted in its annual Sani Gourmet food festival to the variety of activities available in the crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean, Sani Resort seems like a perfect honeymoon option.

My perfect stay at the Sani Resort would definitely include a trip to the Spa Suite where I’d indulge in a hot stone massage and a manicure and pedicure to make me feel not only relaxed but also ready to spend time out on the gorgeous beaches of the resort. I’d also plan on spending some time diving and snorkelling at Sani Beach Club. I love discovering the colourful worlds that exist just under water.

Finally, my dream visit to Sani Resort wouldn’t be complete without spending plenty of time relaxing at the Water Restaurant and Bar with a tasty tropical beverage in hand. It’s clear that there are so many things to enjoy at Sani Resort, that it would be the perfect spot for an upcoming honeymoon or romantic holiday. It’s high on my list, that’s for sure!

Whether you’re lucky enough to book a holiday at Sani Resort or if you’re just joining me in daydreaming about the place, the Facebook page is a great resource! Happy summer holidays to all!

Street Art Series – Amsterdam, part 2

One of the best ways to quickly get a feeling for the “pulse” of a city is by looking at the different examples of street art created by local artists. Oftentimes you can find a larger message in these works, or sometimes they are just fun to explore.

I absolutely love street art wherever I go in the world, and have found several cities around Europe in which the street art is exemplary and definitely worth a visit. Amsterdam is definitely one of those cities – there is street art around seemingly every corner with subjects ranging from the silly to the serious. Here are a few examples of the fantastic street art that can be found in Amsterdam that I took on a recent trip to this fantastic city.

(all photos are my own – please ask if you’d like to use any of them)

I love the way this artist incorporated an entire building into his/her piece. With a cartoonish feeling to the art and the bright blue, this definitely sticks out from the brick facades of all the other buildings in the neighbourhood.

I spotted one of my favourite street series here – the Space Invaders! Spotting these little guys on my travels always makes me so happy.

These former poster and advertisement sites have a brand new lease on life thanks to the bright and colourful pieces that are now painted here.

amsterdam street art 2

This was one of the coolest walls that we walked by on our trip. I love the contrast between those scary beasts and the silhouette of a young couple in love at the bottom right of the frame.

amsterdam street art 3

There was something that seemed “just right” about this composition – from the colour to the fish itself, this piece was definitely worth remembering.

amsterdam street art 4

The uniformity of these bird-creatures was definitely appealing but the bright blue also had me smiling. Are these chickens? Or perhaps the mythical phoenix?

amsterdam street art 5

One of the more political of pieces that I spotted on my recent trip, the Egyptian influences of this piece are clear, as are the messages explicitly painted into the side of this street art.

amsterdam street art 6

This little manga-like girl was a bright spot of colour on an otherwise dreary wall!

And finally, what would Amsterdam be without some bicycle street art. The European capital for cyclists, this particular bike owner decided to make a little roving street art of his own, brightening up whatever corner he decides to use as his next parking spot.

Take a trip to Amsterdam to explore the street art for yourself – you won’t be disappointed!
